Treatment protocol |
Cells were washed twice in PBS and then scraped and pelleted. Cell lysis was performed using miRNeasy mini kit (Qiagen) according to manufacturer's instructions.

Growth protocol |
HFF (ATCC® CRL-2429™) were grown in IMDM medium (Biowest) supplemented with 10% Gibco™ Fetal Bovine Serum, Qualified, US Origin, Standard (Sterile-Filtered) (Gibco). IPSCs were grown in Nutristem (Biowest) on Laminin-521 (BioLamina) coated dish. Both cell lines mentioned below were cultured at 37◦C and 5% CO2 in a humidified Forma Steri-cycle i160 CO2 incubator (Thermo Fischer Scientific).

The RNA isolation had been performed using the miRNeasy mini kit (Qiagen) according to the manufacturer’s protocol with DNaseI (Qiagen) treatment.

Procedures for cDNA synthesis, target DNA fragmentation, and labelling were carried out according to the GeneChip WT PLUS Reagent Kit (Applied Biosystems) using 500 ng of total RNA as the starting material.

Hybridization on Affymetrix Gene Chip Human Transcriptome Array 2.0 microarrays, array washing, staining, and scanning were performed according to the manufacturer protocol.

Scan protocol |
Scans of the microarrays were converted into CEL files using the scanner software, and were then processed using the Transcriptome Analysis Console 3.0.
