Sample GSM319864 Query DataSets for GSM319864
Status Public on Dec 31, 2009
Title FAK transfected rat soleus muscle 425, unloaded + 5 days reloaded
Sample type RNA

Source name Martin Flueck, Institute of Anatomy, University of Berne
Organism Rattus norvegicus
Characteristics tissue: soleus muscle
age: 3 month
gender: female
strain: Wistar
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol Modified RNeasy mini kit (Qiagen)
Label reverse transcription of 3 microgram total RNA with gene specific primers at 50degC using Superscript II RT (Invitrogen)
Label protocol alpha-32P]dATP, and modified dCTP (Ambion (Europe)

Hybridization protocol ATLAS ARRAY-BD Clontech 16h at 68degC in ExpressHyb, Washing: 4x in (2xSSC, 1% SDS) at68degC for 1h. 1x in (0.1xSSC, 0.5% SDS) at68degC for ? h, 1x in (2x SSC) atroom temperature for 5min
Scan protocol Phosphoimager screen, 4-10 days
Description CMV-driven FAK expression construct was electro-transferred into a soleus muscle of an anesthetized rat. 2 days after transfection, the soleus muscles were unloaded for 7 days by hindlimb suspension. Subsequent reloading was provoked by allowing the animals to return to normal cage activity for 5 days. The muscle was isolated, snap frozen and total RNA extracted
