Paired-end sequencing reads aligned to Drosophila reference genome dm6 (NCBI genome/47) with Tophat v2 using the default parameters.
Cufflinks package used to assemble transcripts and measure relative abundance in FPKM.
Differential expression was examined using the Cuffcompare and Cuffdiff in the Cufflinks package.

Supplementary_files_format_and_content: tab-delimited text file include FPKM values for each Sample. This is a differential expression file generated by cuffdiff comparing mRNA levels in body tisuues between young and old flies.
