Title Transcriptomic analysis reveals distinct adaptive molecular mechanism in the hippocampal CA3 from rats susceptible or not-susceptible to hyperthermia-induced seizures
Organism Rattus norvegicus
Experiment type Non-coding RNA profiling by array
Summary This study aimed to identify the genomic differences - through differential gene expression, miRNAs, and WGCNA transcriptional modules among animals with or without seizure after insult and non-insulted controls.

Overall design Use of a rat (Rattus norvegicus) model of hyperthermia-induced seizure to characterize the genomic mechanism underlying febrile seizures in epilepsy. The aim of the study is to identify the genomic differences in hippocampal ventral CA3 region - through differential gene expression, miRNAs, and WGCNA transcriptional modules among animals with (HS) or without (HNS) seizure after insult and non-insulted controls (CT). Here, samples from the animal of all groups in the P30 time-interval.
