Summary We report the generation of CRISPR/Cas9-engineered MCF7 human breast cancer cells that lack functional HIF1α. We show that the HIF1α-dependent transcriptional response to hypoxia is severely impaired in HIF1α-mutant MCF7 cells.
 
Overall design RNA profiles of 2 cell lines (wild-type and HIF1α-mutant MCF7 cells ) in 3 conditions (grown at 21% oxygen, at 1% oxygen for 3 hours and at 1% oxygen for 24 hours) in triplicates, using Illumina HiSeq 2500
