lncRNA/mRNA expression profiling for 4 Human RNA samples

(Submitter supplied) We have completed the Human lncRNA microarray analysis of the 4 samples that you submitted. Total RNA from each sample was quantified using the Nanodrop 1000 and the RNA integrity was assessed by Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer. Role of copper in progression of clear cell renal cell carcinoma [Spatial transcriptomics]

(Submitter supplied) Copper (Cu) is an essential trace element required for mitochondrial respiration. We show that Cu drives coordinated metabolic remodeling of bioenergy, biosynthesis and redox homeostasis and promotes tumor growth and progression of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Late-stage ccRCCs accumulate Cu and allocate it to cytochrome c oxidase stimulating bioenergy production. Shivering improves metabolic health in adults with overweight or obesity

(Submitter supplied) Mild cold acclimation increases insulin sensitivity and previous studies indicate that some level of muscle contraction is essential for provoking this effect. Here, 15 adults with overweight or obesity, the majority of which had impaired glucose tolerance (n=9), were intermittently cold exposed for 10 consecutive days to induce 1 hour of shivering per day. Cold acclimation with shivering improved oral glucose tolerance, blood pressure, fasting glucose, triglyceride, and non-esterified free-fatty acid concentrations, and may thus represent a novel lifestyle approach for the prevention and treatment of obesity-related metabolic disorders.

Single cell transcriptomics of human epidermis shows decreased expression of several structural genes associated with skin barrier development in aged skin

(Submitter supplied) Epidermal keratinocytes are continuously dividing cells which, upon differentiation establish the outer skin barrier, the stratum corneum. In older age the epidermis becomes thinner, papillary protrusions flatten and the capacity for skin barrier repair decreases. Here we performed single-cell RNA sequencing of epidermal keratinocytes obtained by suction blisters from the volar forearm of younger (20-30) and older (65-70) healthy female individuals.
