Distinctive Histogenesis and Immunological Microenvironment Based on Transcriptional Profiles of Follicular Dendritic Cell Sarcomas

(Submitter supplied) Follicular dendritic cell (FDC) sarcomas are rare mesenchymal tumours (MTs) with variable clinical, morphologic and phenotypic characteristics. We investigated the transcriptome of 29 FDC sarcomas and compared it with that of other MTs, microdissected Castleman FDCs, and normal fibroblasts. On unsupervised analysis, FDC sarcoma clustered with microdissected FDCs, distinct from other MTs and fibroblasts. more...

miRNA expression profiling divides follicular dendritic cell sarcomas into two groups, related to fibroblasts and myopericytomas or Castleman's disease

(Submitter supplied) miRNA expression profiling divides 31 follicular dendritic cell (FDC) sarcomas into two subgroups, one group closely related to microdissected FDCs from Castleman´s disease, the other group closely related to fibroblasts and myopericytomas. miRNA was labeled with the Affymetrix FlashTag Biotin HSR RNA Labeling Kit

Characterization of human FDCs reveals regulation of T cells and antigen presentation to B cells [Affymetrix]

(Submitter supplied) Stromal-derived follicular dendritic cells (FDCs) are essential for germinal centers (GCs), the site where B cells maturate their antibodies. FDCs present native antigen to B cells and maintain a CXCL13 gradient to form the B cell follicle. Yet despite their essential role, the transcriptome of human FDCs remains undefined. Using single-cell RNA sequencing and microarray, we provided the transcriptome of these enigmatic cells as a comprehensive resource. more...

Gene expression profiling of Follicular Lymphoma (FL) cultured in the presence or absence of the Follicular Dendritic Cell (FDC) line HK

(Submitter supplied) Cells from 2 FL patients and 1 FL cell line were cultured for up to 48h, with no stroma or on top of HK cells pre-establised layers. RNA from FL cells was isolated after 24 and 48h of culture The aim of this study was to uncover the molecular mechanisms underlying the FL-FDC crosstalk

Expression data from patients with HCC receiving Nivolumab

(Submitter supplied) We have generated an immune classifier able to identify patients belonging to the immune subclass of HCC. Characteristics of the immune subclass resemble those of patients who most respond to immunotherapy. We performed microarray expression of the tumors of two patients before starting treatment with nivolumab to verify if the immune classifier generated was able to predict response to immunotherapy.

T cell dependent immune responses: B cell activation and differentiation Group1 Fo, Group2 GC1, Group3 GC2

(Submitter supplied) Upon immunization with a T cell dependent antigen naive follicular B cells (Fo) are activated and a germinal center reaction is induced. Within the next 2 weeks large germinal centers develop where the process of affinity maturation takes place. To analyze the gene expression profile of resting and activated B cells, follicular B cells (Fo), B cells from early (GC1) and late germinal centers (GC2) were isolated and their gene expression profile compared.
