Prominent glomerular basement membrane (GBM) reflecting a diffuse and relatively uniform increase in thickness (subjective estimate) with exogenous material deposited between the outer (epithelial) aspect of the GBM and the visceral epithelial cell, with varying degrees of incorporation into the GBM. [from HPO]
