RNA was extracted using Trizol (Invitrogen) and purified using RNAeasy plus mini kit (QIAGEN).

Data processing |
The data were analyzed with Partex Genomics Suite 6.6. The gene level RMA-sketch algorithm was used to generate the intensity data for the Mouse Gene 1.0 ST arrays. Differences in gene expression were expressed as fold changes (down-regulated genes are expressed as -fold value). Fold-change was calculated based on log2 ratio. Transcripts down-regulated >-2 fold were considered interesting candidates and some were further validated with IHC and western blotting.
