Mixed stage C. elegans strains were cultured at 20◦C on solid NGM agar plates on HT115(DE3) E. coli as a food source for 3-4 days. For each replicate worms from 10-20 9-cm NGM plates were collected using sucrose floatation. Starved plates were discarded.
