Frozen samples were lyzed by adding 300 µl lysis buffer to tubes. Samples stored in RNAlater were fractionated and lyzed by x10 volumes (v/v) lysis buffer. RNA was isolated by MagNA Pure LC RNA Isolation procedure using MagNA Pure instrument (Roche). Integrity of RNA was examined by Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer.
