Short description: The sample is RNA derived from highly purified mouse mammary stem cells (Masc). These cells were derived from freshly dissociated mouse mammary tissue and were analyzed for cell content by in vivo transplantation arrays. The relevance to the stem cell project is that we have also isolated a mammary cell highly enriched in progenitor (CFC's). A comparison of the two population would be helpful in identifying stem cell specific genes.
