Treatment protocol Animals were euthanized with CO2 prior their sacrifice. During dissection the lungs were Perfused with PBS to facilitate visualitation of the tumors. During dissection of the tumors the tissues were kept in ice cold PBS. Once dissected the tumors were stored in Trizol at -80oC until RNA extraction
Growth protocol Animals were bred & kept in the ASU animal facility at the University of Pennsylvania From the moment of their birth to the moment of their sacrifice (5 months old) Animals were kept under regular husbandry conditions, no particular food or medicines were administered to induce the growth of the tumors. The tumors are product of the induction of LSL-KrasG12D mutation with or without Ctnnb1ex3flox mutation in the clara cells of CC10-cre+ animals. As controls littermates lacking the CC10-cre and LSL-KrasG12D alleles were used.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol Trizol was used for extraction of total RNA according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Label protocol Synthesis of Biotin-labeled cRNA using Affymetrix Kit IVT reaction
 
Hybridization protocol Hybridization for 16-18 hours at 45 C. Fluidics (wash, stain) was done on the Affymetrix Fluidics 450 station. More detailed information on protocols and so on can be found at www.affymetrix.com
Scan protocol Scanning was done with an Affymetrix 3000 series scanner controlled by AGCC (used for CEL generation). More detailed information on protocols and so on can be found at www.affymetrix.com
Data processing Affymetrix Expression Console was used for normalization. More detailed information on protocols and so on can be found at www.affymetrix.com. RMA was applied to cel files using Partek Genomics Suite 6.5
