Image analysis was carried out with BlueFuse software (BlueGnome, Cambridge, UK). Raw image data were global LOESS-normalized within arrays and normalized between arrays using the LIMMA package. The normalized log ratios (average of four replicates per probe) were used for subsequent analysis in Genespring 7.2 (Agilent Technologies, CA, US).
