Sample GSM5946840 Query DataSets for GSM5946840
Status Public on Mar 14, 2022
Title M w 0S 3
Sample type SRA

Source name w1118 Male
Organism Drosophila melanogaster
Characteristics strain: w1118
Sex: male
tissue: Whole larva
developmental stage: 108 AEL
diet: 0S
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol 10 108hr (AEL) male and female larvae were removed from Drosophila diet (1S or 0S) and flash frozen on dry ice. RNA was isolated using Trizol reagent. Quality control of samples was performed using the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer to confirm sample quality.
RNA libraries were prepared for sequencing using standard Illumina protocols

Library strategy RNA-Seq
Library source transcriptomic
Library selection cDNA
Instrument model Illumina NextSeq 500

Data processing Sequencing was performed using on a NextSeq 500 sequencer.
Sequence quality was assessed using FastQC on Illumina BaseSpace
Reads were aligned to Drosophila melanogaster genome (UCSC dm3) using STAR aligner with default settings
For differential expression analysis, fragments per kilobase of transcript per million mapped reads were calculated using the DESeq2 normalization method
Log fold changes and significance for differential expression were determined and a significance threshold of 0.05 was selected for adjusted p values determined with Bonferroni correction
Assembly: UCSC dm3
Supplementary files format and content: tab-delimited text files include FPKM values for each Sample
