Skin epidermis was dissected using a protocol derived from Li et al., 2017, from the transgenic mice and the cells were plated. After 24 hours, cells were transduced with adeno-virus (either Ad-GFP or SAd-Dlx3). RNA libraries were prepared according to standard Illumina protocol (NEBNext Ultra II RNA Library Prep kit for Illumina; Cat# E7775)
