Sample GSM3073219 Query DataSets for GSM3073219
Status Public on Apr 02, 2018
Title BAT_cold_4
Sample type SRA

Source name BAT_cold
Organism Mus musculus
Characteristics strain: C57BL/6
genotype/variation: wild type
gender: female
age: 16w
kept at: 5°C
tissue: Inguinal BAT
Treatment protocol All mice were bred, born and weaned at 30°C. At the age of 10-12 weeks, half of the mice were transferred to a temperature-controlled (+/- 0.5°C) climate chamber and kept for two weeks at 18°C followed by 3 weeks at 5°C. Afterwards, mice kept at 30°C and 5°C were euthanized after 2-3 hours food withdrawal, and serum and tissue samples were collected.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol RNA molecules were poly(A) selected, fragmented, and reverse transcribed with the Elute, Prime, Fragment Mix (EPF, Illumina)
End repair, A-tailing, adaptor ligation, and library enrichment were performed as described in the Low Throughput protocol of the TruSeq RNA Sample Prep Guide (Illumina).

Library strategy RNA-Seq
Library source transcriptomic
Library selection cDNA
Instrument model Illumina HiSeq 2500

Description GAR0580_1
Data processing Sequenced reads were trimmed for adaptor sequence with trim-galore and aligned with tophat softare
Genome_build: Ensembl release 81
Supplementary_files_format_and_content: tab-delimited text files include raw read count per sample
