Extraction protocol The miRNeasy total RNA extraction kit (Qiagen) was used for RNA isolation.

Label protocol Cyanine-3 (Cy3) labeled miRNA was prepared from 100ng total RNA using Agilent miRNA Complete Labeling and Hyb Kit according to the manufacturer's instructions
 
Hybridization protocol Labeled RNA was hybridized with a 8X15 mouse miRNA array rel v19 (design number 046065) at 55°C and 20 rpm for 20 hours, and then washed according to the manufacturers instructions.
Scan protocol Slides were scanned immediately after washing on Agilent Technologies Scanner G2505B US22502692 using 5uM resolution.
Description miRNA expression in colon macrophages
Data processing The scanned images were analyzed with Feature Extraction Software 9.1 (Agilent) using default parameters (protocol miRNA_107_Sep09 and Grid: 029152_D_F_20100702) to obtain background subtracted and spatially detrended Processed Signal intensities.
