Title |
wild type exposed to cigarette smoke replicate 2 |
Sample type |
RNA |
|
|
Source name |
Whole lung homogenate
|
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Characteristics |
genotype: WT
|
Treatment protocol |
Age- and gender- matched C57BL/6 and Mmp28-/- (on a C57BL/6 background) mice were used for all experiments. At 7-9 weeks, mice were exposed to cigarette smoke from University of Kentucky 3R4F Reference Brand cigarettes using a JB-2082 cigarette smoke machine (CH Technologies). The smoke exposures were three hours in duration for five days per week at a concentration of 250 tpm/m3 for a total of 3 months. Controls were kept in the same facility and exposed to room air within a similar chamber.
