Primary rat hepatocytes in culture are incubated with low concentration of cadmium chloride (4μM) for 3 hours or nothing (culture media only).

Primary rat heaptocytes were isolated, plated in culture dishes and incubated overnight prior to treatment of either control group (culture media) or cadmium group.
