The 3‘adaptors were trimmed by FASTX Toolkit (fastx_clipper 0.0.14) with parameters -l 18. Perl script developed by ourselves was used to filter the low quality reads.
All clean reads were aligned to miRBase (version 21) by miRDeep2 with default parameters
