Description gene expression data of SFA diet pups liver
C57Bl6/J mice, 4–5 weeks old, were used. Female mice were divided in three groups that received one of three isocaloric diets, containing 6g% commercial oil of different origins as follows: soybean in control diet, coconut in SFA and flaxseed in ALA. Oleic acid in RD (42%), ALA in ALA diet (31.6%) and the saturated fatty acids in SFA diet (48.51%) were the predominant FA in the maternal diets. Males received regular chow diet except during the mating period during which they shared their female mates' diets. At all stages, the animals had free access to food and water and were kept in ventilated rooms under a light/dark cycle of 12h/12h. Within a day after birth, offspring's livers were excised and snap frozen in liquid nitrogen for further use.
Data processing Probe-set analyses was performed. RMA normalization and summarization by mean, all were done by Partek Genomics suite (version 6.6)
