Extraction protocol RNA was extracted using Rneasy Mini kits from Qiagen, treated with DNAse. Quality of RNA was verified using BioAnalyzer (Agilent Tech.)

Label protocol Biotinylated cRNA were prepared using 500ng of RNA and with Illumina® RNA Amplification Kit from Ambion (Austin, TX, USA)
 
Hybridization protocol Standard Illumina hybridization protocol: The labeled cRNA (1500ng for Mouse) was hybridized overnight at 58°C onto the Expression BeadChip mouse GW-6 (>46,000 gene transcripts; Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA) according to the manufacturer's instructions
Scan protocol Standard Illumina scanning protocol:. BeadChips were subsequently washed and developed with fluorolink streptavidin- Cy3 (GE Healthcare). BeadChips were scanned with an Illumina BeadArray Reader. Data was generated from Imagedata using Illumina software, GenomeStudio.
