wt (FB1) was grown to a OD600 of 0.5 at 28°C in CM medium (Holliday, 1974) containing 1 % (w/v) glucose. Subsequently, cells were shifted to CM medium containing 1 % (w/v) arabinose instead of glucose as a carbon source and incubated for 75 min.

Extraction protocol |
Total RNA was extracted using the TRIZOL-reagent (Invitrogen) according to the manufacturer´s instructions. RNA samples were further column purified (Qiagen RNeasy) and the quality checked using a Bioanalyser with a RNA6000 Nano LabChip Kit (Agilent).
