Treatment protocol |
Cells were transfected with control or SRC-1 targeting siRNA using DharmaFECT 1 according to the manufacturer's protocol. Transfected cells were changed to medium supplemented with 10% dialyzed FCS and incubated for 36 hours before the indicated treatment with DMEM with or without glucose supplemented with 10% dialyzed FCS.

Growth protocol |
A549 cell lines were cultured in DMEM supplemented with 10% fetal calf serum (FCS), penicillin, and streptomycin (100 U/mL). Twenty-four hours prior to transfection, A549 cells were plated in 6-well plates.
