Treatment protocol |
Testes were manually dissected in testis buffer, snap frozen in liquid nitrogen, and stored at -80C until sufficient sample had been collected. Samples were processed into 350ul lysis buffer (RLT+b-ME) then shipped on dry ice to the microarray facility in Glasgow university.

Flies were grown on standard cornmeal yeast sucrose agar medium, and collected for dissection within one day of eclosion
