Strains were cultured at 30C with 225 rpm orbital shaking in 30 mL YSC -URA medium with the indicated ethanol concentration in 50 mL closed conical tubes. The cultures harvested at approximately OD 0.4. Protocols from RAmbion RiboPure Yeast RNA extraction kits were followed.
