One day prior to and during ligand treatments, cells were cultured in the same media containing 10% 3X charcoal stripped FBS to deplete them of steroid exposure.

Growth protocol |
MCF7 cells were routinely cultured in phenol red-free Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium/F12 (DMEM/F12) medium containing 10% (v/v) Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) and 1% (v/v) antibiotic-antimycotic (AA) solution in a humidified 37°C incubator with 5% CO2.
