Title Effect of iron-overload on gene expression in atherosclerosis
Organism Mus musculus
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary The aim of this study was to identify novel key genes and to investigate pathways involved in effect of iron-overload on atherosclerosis

Overall design Apoe-/- mice (6-8 weeks old) under a 24-week regimen of chow diet (CD) and high fat diet (HFD) with or without intraperitoneal injection of ammonium iron(III) citrate (HFD+IO). The atherosclerotic aorta was harvested and performed RNA-seq analysis.
