Title |
Effect of iron-overload on gene expression in atherosclerosis |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
The aim of this study was to identify novel key genes and to investigate pathways involved in effect of iron-overload on atherosclerosis
|
|
|
Overall design |
Apoe-/- mice (6-8 weeks old) under a 24-week regimen of chow diet (CD) and high fat diet (HFD) with or without intraperitoneal injection of ammonium iron(III) citrate (HFD+IO). The atherosclerotic aorta was harvested and performed RNA-seq analysis.
