Title MicroRNA signatures of the developing primate fovea
Organism Macaca mulatta
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Non-coding RNA profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary Purpose: Uncover the mRNA and microRNA signatures of non-human primate retina during development.

Overall design 1) Comparison of mRNA profiles from nasal versus temporal rhesus macaque retinal punches at embryonic days (E)50 (n=3), E90 (n=1, pair-end sequencing), andE 150 (n=1, pair-end sequencing), using Illumina NextSeq 500 system (Illumina, San Diego, CA). 2) Comparison of microRNA (miRNA) profiles from nasal versus temporal rhesus macaque retinal punches at embryonic day 50 (n=3), using Illumina NextSeq 500 system (Illumina, San Diego, CA).
