Title Modulation of Syndecan-1/4 reduces the invasive potential of endometrioma through TGF-β signalling
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary We report that modulation of high SDC -1/-4 within certain endometriomas in women having ovarian endometriosis, reversed its higher invasion potential and downregulated several molecules incolved in cancer development.

Overall design Endometrioma stromal cells were transiently silenced for SDC-1 andSDC-4, followed by TGF-β stimulation in vitro within 3D-invasion assay. RNA sequnecing were perfomed on harvested spheroids from 3D invasion assay (with/without TGF-β stimulation or SDC-1 or SDC4 silencing) using Smart-seq2 protocol , tagmentation via Nextera kit and sequenced using Nextseq 550. Data were analysed using Partek Flow Genomic analysis software.
