Effect of ArhGAP30 on the gene expression profile of colorectal cancer cells

(Submitter supplied) In order to determine the effect of ArhGAP30 on the gene expression profile of colorectal cancer cells, Lovo cells were infected with either ArhGAP30 or the control pcDNA3.1 empty vector. The differentially expressed genes caused by ArhGAP30 ectopic expression suggests the underlying mechanism for ArhGAP30-induced cell apoptosis and cell cycle arrest.

The effect on gene expression by p53 family members and the knockdown of AKR1B10

(Submitter supplied) To evaluate the effect on gene expression by p53 family members and AKR1B10, we overexpressed p53 family members in H1299 cells or knocked down AKR1B10 in HCT116 cells and evaluated the gene expression by microarray analysis.

Identify the dysregulated miRNA in human colorectal cancer tissues

(Submitter supplied) Dysregulated miRNA in human colorectal cancer (CRC) were identified through comparison between 4 CRC tumors and their adjacent normal tissues by miRNA array. Histologically-confirmed CRC were included in this study. CRC tissues and paired adjacent normal tissues were obtained from the resected surgical specimens. The adjacent normal tissue is composed of normal colonic mucosa located at approximately 10 cm away from the cancer tissue. more...

Identification of long noncoding RNAs regulated by p53

(Submitter supplied) Analyize the transcriptpme regulated by p53 in 3 pairs of isogenic p53WT and p53KO colorectal cancer cell lines untreated or treated with Doxorubicin. The hypothsis of this study is that p53 can regulate the expression of subset of lncRNAs to mediate its biological functions.

Identification of PURPL regulated genes in HCT116 cells

(Submitter supplied) Analysis of changes in gene expression profile upon depletion of PURPL in HCT116 cells. The hypothesis in this study is that PURPL regulates gene expression in the p53 pathway.

p53 Promotes Peroxisomal Fatty Acid β-oxidation to Repress Purine metabolism and Mediate Tumor Suppression

(Submitter supplied) Several studies suggested that p53 controls multiple metabolic pathways and their contribution to its tumor-suppressive functions. To investigate whether p53 might involve some unexplored metabolic pathways, Trp53fl/fl mice were crossed with Pvillin-Cre mice to generate Pvillin-Cre + Trp53fl/fl (VP) mice, and colorectal tumor model was induced by AOM/DSS. We analyzed the CRC tumor tissues from Trp53fl/fl and VP mice by RNA-seq.
