Description

This strain is part of a comparative study evaluating E. coli clones isolated from the gut of hospitalized patients with strains causing urinary tract infection in one single center. The Escherichia coli strain SMG012F6 was isolated from a rectal swab from an inpatient with urinary tract infection. This sequence refers to clone F6 from the patient SMG012. The other clones isolated from the rectal swab of the same inpatient are SMG012F1 and SMG012F3. This strain is a clone of the strain isolated from the urine of the patient.
