Description

This strain is part of a comparative study evaluating E. coli clones isolated from the gut of hospitalized patients with strains causing urinary tract infection in one single center. The Escherichia coli strain SMG001F6 was isolated from a rectal swab from an inpatient without urinary tract infection. This sequence refers to clone F6 from the patient SMG001. The other clones isolated from the rectal swab of the same inpatient are SMG001F1 and SMG001F2.
