show Abstracthide AbstractIdentification and distribution of carbapenemase genes in P. aeruginosa vary geographically. Production and dissemination of carbapenemase genes is associated with P. aeruginosa high-risk sequence types and clones. Reporting of clinical impact and the occurrence of different carbapenemase genes and P. aeruginosa sequence types in Tanzania is limited, and necessitates their routine surveillance. The aim of this study was to provide an understanding of the carbapenemase genes and sequence types identified in P. aeruginosa isolates from chronic leg ulcer patients in two tertiary hospitals in northern Tanzania.
