Study: Linked multi-point cotranscriptional RNA structure probing data from Clostridium beijerinckii, Bacillus cereus, and E. coli
show Abstracthide Abstract
The goal of this study was to develop a procedure for measuring the sequential rearrangement of RNA structures as they fold cotranscriptionally. The BioSamples associated with this BioProject contain data collected during the initial validation and application of the method, called Linked Multi-Point Transcription Elongation Complex RNA structure probing (TECprobe-LMP). In this study, TECprobe-LMP was used to characterize known cotranscriptional RNA folding transitions that occur during folding of the C. beijerinckii pfl ZTP riboswitch, B. cereus crcB fluoride riboswitch, and E. coli signal recognition particle RNA. These data establish the accuracy of the method, which can be applied generally to understand the mechanisms and determinants of cotranscriptional RNA structure formation.
