Expression profiling of cultured keratocyte, fibroblast, and myofibroblast cells of the corneal stroma. Cultured cells compared to cornea from adults and 10 day postnatals. Keratocytes maintain the transparent corneal stroma, and upon injury differentiate into fibroblasts and myofibroblasts.
