Summary: Analysis of Staphylococcus epidermidis sarZ mutants deficient in biofilm formation. Biofilm-associated infections due to Staphylococcus epidermidis, a nosocomial pathogen, is a public health problem. Results provide insight into the role of SarZ in biofilm formation and virulence in S. epidermidis.
