RrpB, as described in Campylobacter jejuni, is a MarR family helix-turn-helix transcription factor with about 45 percent identity its paralog RrpA. RrpB has an invariant Cys residue at position 8, while RrpA has several conserved Cys residues, allowing a thiol-based detection of redox state and regulating the expression of reductases that contribute to stress adaptation.
