PRTRC system protein C
A Ubiquitin-superfamily protein that is present across several bacterial lineages, and found in gene neighborhoods with components of the ubiquitin modification system such as the E1, E2 and JAB proteins, and a novel alpha-helical protein, which is predicted to be enzymatic [1]. (from Pfam)
A novel genetic system characterized by six major proteins, included a ParB homolog and a ThiF homolog, is designated PRTRC, or ParB-Related,ThiF-Related Cassette. It is often found on plasmids. This protein family is designated PRTRC system protein C.
