transposase
Transposase proteins are necessary for efficient DNA transposition. This domain is a member of the DDE superfamily, which contain three carboxylate residues that are believed to be responsible for coordinating metal ions needed for catalysis. (from Pfam)
IS1380 family transposase
Proteins of this family are DDE type transposases, which are encoded by IS1380 family elements. It was first identified and characterized in an Acetobacter pasteurianus mutant with ethanol oxidation deficiency caused by disruption of the cytochrome c gene by the IS1380 element.
