phage tail protein
This is a family of phage tail tube proteins from Myoviridae. [1]. 23542344. A conserved spiral structure for highly diverged phage tail. assembly chaperones.. Pell LG, Cumby N, Clark TE, Tuite A, Battaile KP, Edwards AM,. Chirgadze NY, Davidson AR, Maxwell KL;. J Mol Biol. 2013;425:2436-2449. (from Pfam)
Ig-like domain-containing protein
This family consists of bacterial domains with an Ig-like fold. Members of this family are found in bacterial and phage surface proteins such as intimins. [1]. 10201396. Structure of the cell-adhesion fragment of intimin from. enteropathogenic Escherichia coli.. Kelly G, Prasannan S, Daniell S, Fleming K, Frankel G, Dougan G,. Connerton I, Matthews S;. Nat Struct Biol 1999;6:313-318. (from Pfam)
major tail protein
This HMM describes a set of proteins that share low levels of sequence similarity but similar lengths and similar patterns of charged, hydrophobic, and Gly/Pro residues. All members (except one attributed to mouse embryo cDNA) belong to phage of Gram-positive bacteria. Several are identified as phage major tail proteins. Some members of this family have additional C-terminal regions of about 100 residues not included in this model.
bacterial Ig-like domain-containing protein similar to human nuclear pore membrane glycoprotein 210 and Bacillus anthracis S-layer protein sap
