chp_LLNDYxLRE family protein
His-Xaa-Ser system protein HxsD
This family, HxsD, is one of the four principal proteins of the His-Xaa-Ser repeat protein modification system. The other principal members are two radical SAM proteins, HxsB and HxsC, and the presumed modified peptide/protein, HxsA, which always contains HXS repeats but is otherwise highly variable. Analogy to other peptide modification systems suggests HxsD could act as a chaperone assisting radical SAM-catalyzed modifications.
