Glycosyl hydrolase 109, C-terminal domain

This domain is found at the C-terminal end of the group of bacterial glycosyl hydrolases 109, including Alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase from Elizabethkingia meningoseptica. This domain shows a large open-faced, seven-stranded, anti-parallel beta-sheet, adjacent to nine alpha-helices and an alpha-helical bundle covering the dinucleotide-binding tunnel [1]. Paper describing PDB structure 2ixa. [1]. 17401360. Bacterial glycosidases for the production of universal red blood cells. Gfo/Idh/MocA family protein

Gfo/Idh/MocA family protein belonging to the NAD(P)(+)-binding Rossmann-fold superfamily, may function as an oxidoreductase that catalyzes the transfer of electrons from one molecule, the electron donor or reductant, to another molecule, the electron acceptor or oxidant
