regulatory protein YcgZ
YcgZ, as found in Escherichia coli, is a small protein of unknown function that appears to participate in regulatory cascades involved in processes such as biofilm formation and response to blue light. YcgZ is homologous to YmgB/AriR, a paralog also found in E. coli and described as having a role in regulatory cascades.
