    Also known as
    T15C9.7; TON1; TONNEAU 1; TONNEAU 1A
    Summary
Encodes a protein of unknown function that is involved in cortical microtubule organization. Mutants exhibit abnormal cell growth and patterns of division. TON1A can functionally complement TON1B and their roles appear to be redundant in plants. Encodes a novel protein that is similar to human FOP and OFD1 centrosomal proteins. Localizes to the preprophase band, cytoplasm and cell cortex where it is probably associated with the cortical cytoskeleton. TON1A associates with plant centrins CEN1 and CEN2.
