Sample GSM96649 Query DataSets for GSM96649
Status Public on Feb 16, 2006
Title Patient-05-029_HR-CGH_rep2 (Experiment-ID: 38257)
Sample type genomic

Channel 1
Source name Genomic DNA isolated from blood
Organism Homo sapiens
Characteristics Patient with beta-thalassemia; blood.
Extracted molecule genomic DNA
Label Cy3

Channel 2
Source name Genomic DNA from 7 normal male individuals (Promega)
Organism Homo sapiens
Characteristics Pooled genomic DNA from 7 normal male individuals (Promega); used as control.
Extracted molecule genomic DNA
Label Cy5

Description High resolution comparative genome hybridization (HR-CGH) was performed in order to identify the exact deletion breakpoints in the beta-globin locus. (Replicate number 2.)
Data processing For each spot on the array log2-ratios of the Cy3-labeled test sample versus the Cy5-labeled reference sample were calculated. Fluorescence intensity normalization was performed using the Qspline algorithm (Workman et al. 2002; PMID: 12225587), implemented as normalize.qspline in the Bioconductor package (www.bioconductor.org).
