Animals were exposed to sidestream smoke with a suspended particle load of 10 mg/m3 during the smoke exposure or to filtered-air as control (5 hr/day, 7 days a week).

We housed and handled Balb/c mice on a 12-hr light-dark cycle. Mice had food and water ad libitum except when in the exposure chambers.

Following fragmentation, 10 ug of cRNA were hybridized for 16 hr at 45C on GeneChip Mouse 430 2.0 Arrays in a GeneChip Hybridization Oven 640, followed by washing and staining in the Affymetrix Fluidics Station.
