All RNA from liver tissue was isolated using TRIzol (Thermo Fisher Scientific) and RNA samples were treated with DNase (Invitrogen) and then purified using RNeasy mini kit (Qiagen).
RNA-seq libraries were generated according to the TruSeq Stranded mRNA Sample Preparation Guide (Part # 15031047 Rev. E). RNA-seq libraries were validated by bioanalyzer and real-time RT-PCR.
