Extraction protocol |
The tissue was cut after extraction into 2 mm2 pieces and immediately stored in diethyl pyrocarbonate (DEPC) solution, a nuclease inhibitor. In less than 24 hours the tissue was frozen and stored at -80º C. RNA extraction: Total RNAs were prepared from the lysates of liver with Trizol reagent (Invitrogen) according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer. RNA was treated with TURBO DNA-free Kit to remove DNA contamination according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer (Ambion, Austin, TX).
